Install From Web Store

Install From a .crx File

1. Open chrome browser, and then go to the Extensions page by entering the following address chrome://extensions/, Or click the settings icon on the right side of the toolbar, and then click More Tools - Extensions.

Install From a .Zip File

Unpack the zip file downloaded above.

1. Open chrome browser, and then go to the Extensions page.

2. Turn on developer mode on the Extensions page,

   

   a toolbar will show up with three buttons: "Load unpacked", "Pack extension", and "Update"

   

3. Click "Load unpacked", and then on the prompted file chooser window, browser to the extension directory, and then click "Select". SearchDeck extension will show up on the extension panel.

   

4. Pin SearchDeck on browser toolbar. Click the extension button on the browser toolbar, and then click the pin icon on popup menu:

   

   the SearchDeck logo will show up on the extension toolbar

5. Enjoy it!

Usage

SearchDeck provides three ways to

1. In the address bar, input "s" + space,

   

   SearchDeck will replace your current search engine. Continue input query string, and then hit "Enter" on your keyboard to complete your search.

2. On any browser tab page (excluding blank page and other extension home page),

   input "s", the SearchDeck popup will immediately show up,

   input "s" and then "j", the SearchDeck popup will immediately show up, and focus on the search input.

3. Click SearchDeck button on the extension toolbar, SearchDeck will open a new home page tab or switch to the home page opened previously.
